Renewable Heat Incentive is an incentive given to the solar powered system which produces heat. It replaced the Low Carbon Building Program in the year 2010.

How do we benefit by RHI ?

1. A good amount of money can be saved directly by using green energy instead of oil, gas which tend to appreciate in price due decrease in amount of fuels.

2. Support is paid on a quarterly basis for seven years. The tariff covers the expected cost of renewable heat generation over 20 years.

3. The heating system can earn us at least 19.2 p/kWh, for the  heat we generate and use. The tariff provided depends on the specification of the system.

4. If the house is connected with a heat network, export of heat will earn extra income.
