Review-Jackery Bar Premium Portable Charger

The Jackery bar is perfect for charging the USB based devices during a 2-3 short day trip away from the grid- flight trip, road trips, or whenever you need to charge your mobile devices.

Thankfully Jackery has released power bank in colors other than orange, seriously. The last time I reviewed the ultra portable Jackery mini charger, I went nuts about the color because I’m not a fan of orange color, the color is depressing.

Volume comparison

Anker 2nd gen Astro = 6.156 cubic inches
Jackery bar = 6.66 cubic inches

Structure

The Jackery has an aluminium casing like any other Jackery charger. The charger is made of Samsung grade A cell and premium microchips, which I suppose is a fine thing.

On the front face it has 3 LED vertical strips each indicating 30% charge in the battery. On the lower side of the front face it has the Jackery logo. On the top face it has an USB output port, a micro-USB input port and a flashlight. On the top right corner(with respect to the face with the Jackery logo on it) it has a vertical power button, which is required to enable the bank to charge the device.

Battery

The 5600mAh Li-Ion battery comes with 4 layers of protection circuit to secure the device from damage. The power lock capability will extend the fully charged power bank standby time to about 6 months, when left idle.

The battery life is claimed to be 200 – 300% as that of most of today’s mobile phones.Generally battery packs deliver about 80% of the charge they store, hence the values are precise enough. The battery life is 500+ charge cycles.

Flashlight

The flashlight can be turned on by 2 quick press on the power button. The fully charged Jackery can provide light for upto 450 hours.
